Unable to move files, only copy and delete
#1
I am unable to move any files from and to any locations using the File Manager. It is not a permissions issue because I can copy then delete files. Log files isn't providing any extra information, just saying move failed.

Please enable debug logging and pastebin it. I think it's related to moving to untranslated paths (eg. special://.. ). Log will tell.

Looks like a strange copy/paste issue from nano. We need a full debug log, unedited.

Easiest way to post logs in linux is:

pastebin logfile

It also accepts stdin so you can:

dmesg|pastebinit

Hi,

I have the same issue. Only information in debug mode is: "ERROR: Rename - Error renaming file"

Is there something missing from my log excerpt? Do I need to provide more information?

Yes...as mkortstiege mentioned, your logfile isnt a full Debug Log. You cutted the file. Dont do that. Always provide the full log:

1. enable debug logging
2. reboot (to keep log clean and short)
3. reproduce your issue
4. grab the unedited log and provide it on a pastebin site

I honestly thought that the log for the failed move operation is the only part needed. Here goes the full log http://pastebin.com/QFTkiCvE

Well....I'm just guessing, but maybe it's a skin related issue. As far as I can see, you are using Aeon Nox 5. Have you tried it with skin Confluence?

I will try for myself, when I'm at home in the evening to confirm if it's a bug or not.

I tried it with Kodi 15 Alpha1 and it works fine. Moved a jpg to my dropbox with no problems by pressing the "m" button.
