Kodi crash right after start
#1
Hi Everyone,

My problem is: 80-90% times i star Kodi after few seconds in full screen I see something like "blink" on interface, and it stops. In 10-20% after the blink Kodi will survive and I could use it without the problem.

I use Debian unstable and that problem was in every version of Kodi i had. Currently it is:

$ dpkg -l kodi
ii kodi 5:14.1-dmo3 all Kodi Media Center (full metapackage)

My laptop is: ASUS ux32vd, with intel and nvidia graphic card. When kodi is started with primus run i see this message in moment of "blink": primus: warning: timeout waiting for display worker
Its worth to notice that even when its is less posible to crash on primusrun, my laptop starts to be insanely hot so its not a solution.

Crashes in the gpu driver:
Quote:0x00007f1d1279c8fd in ?? () from /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/i965_dri.so

Most likely a bug in mesa -> bugs.freedesktop.org
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
