Is there anyway to update git with new changes ubuntu whenever there is an update for example from 14.0 to 14.1 instead of cloning new git and starting from scratch again. Thanks. BTW this question is for Ubuntu

Sorry what i mean to say is....for example if I clone the git for 14.1 today and tomorrow a 14.2 is released. How can i update the git that i had cloned for 14.1 with the updates for 14.2. Or do i need to clone the entire git for 14.2. Hope that makes sense!
