Something like this was reported regarding the Amber skin back in September last year.

could some one create a ticket for this so it can be looked into closer?
imo all codepath should respect the same requirements. either case sensitive or not. I know we did some cleanup last year though not sure in which direction

Case sensitivity of Skin files (and indeed any files accessed by addons) has always been an issue on Linux.
Because both Windows and Mac OS use case insensitive file systems the problem doesn't get noticed often as many addon/skin coders don't use or test on Linux.
I reported a number of file name case issues for Amber about a year ago including graphical assets that did not appear (the scrollbar "blob" included) on Linux because of inconsistent case between the files themselves and the file name references in the Skin...
