Win HD movies have SD tags
#1
Hi,

I'm a lamen at this so if I'm not explaining something properly I will be happy to explain it again.

I have several Bluray movies that I ripped with Makemkv. A few of them are showing up with a SD tags. Is it possible to edit the SD tag and replace it with an HD tag? I ask because I just installed "Aeon Nox 5 Silvo" and some of my Bluray movies are showing up with SD cases.

It appears that Aeon Nox 5 Silvo uses that SD/ HD data tag to determine the type of case. With other skins I simply added "Bluray" or "3DBD" to the file name.

Thanks

I also use makemkv.

All my movies have the word dvd or bluray in the fiename so aeon nox identifies them properly

I may be wrong since I haven't used that version of AN, but I believe the cases are based on the resolution of the video file. All my HDTV rips show up with Bluray cases even though they're not.
ASUS Chromebox M004U (LibreELEC 8.2/Aeon Nox SiLVO)--->HDMI--->Onkyo TX-NR646--->HDMI--->Panasonic P65VT30

Yes it is based on the resolution provided by the stream details, can you post a screenshot while playing the files in question and open the codec info ("O" key using keyboard) and provide what platform you are using (windows, android, ect...)?

Thanks;
I think this is how to post a picture. Can you let me know if you can't see it for some reason.

Ok... That is definitely HD... Can you provide some more screenshots showing the wrong SD case in whatever view you noticed it being wrong and also the videoinfo screen for the same item ("I" key when highlighting the movie)?

Thanks.

The above referenced link is "12 Years a Slave"

Here are the other two pictures you requested.

I just thought I'd mention that every movie in the above pictured library is Bluray and all movie files are from the same source. As you can see quite few of the movie thumbnails have SD cases.

I appreciate your effort.

Looks like there may be an issue with the file itself... there is no resolution info in the videoinfo screen so that is somehow not getting passed to Kodi... Since both are empty then it is most likely an issue with the file or how it was added. The only things I can suggest are to remove the file from the folder, clean the library, then try to re-add it. If that does not work I will have to see a Debug Log.

Those cases are not SD they are when there is no resolution info which should only be movie sets 99% of the time. There are also some other curious inconsistencies like no writer info...

That's the movie set icon not SD resolution.

Thanks Hitcher;

Can I change the "movie set icon" to a Bluray case? The movies with the set icon case are not part of a set.

Thanks

I could be wrong but I believe it is to do with the resolution being 1088 and not 1080. I have the same problem with a couple of my movies as well. Once I changed the nfo to say it was 1080 rather than 1088 it showed the bluray case instead of the movie set case
