ALLJOYN IOT FRAMEWORK

Summary: AllJoyn is an Open Source Internet of Things (IoT) framework. It is supported by the Linux Foundation and the AllSeen Alliance Community. It is avaliable for all major platforms and aims to provide a common way for devices and apps to interact and speak to each other.
How will I achieve this: Will need some skills in Python, SWIG, cmake and possibly c++.
What will the project focus on: The framework fits well with Kodi as a device to be controlled and somewhere to control from. Just getting the basics would be good (API, build system).
Benefits: It will allow users to recieve messages from and interact with other devices. It will also provide a platfrom for developers to build into their own apps.
Goals: Smaller goals have been broken down on the wiki.
What does it touch in Kodi: Hopefully it will be able to be broken into small enough pieces - but will likely integrate with settings, notifications, audio sink, audio source, add a new API, virtual control panel rendering add-on etc.
Requirements: There are plenty of video's available for the framework both on the AllSeen Website and Youtube
Possible mentors: Place to add possible mentors (Team-Kodi will add this). (SWIG guru, cmake guru?) - Mentors may also be available from the AllSeen Alliance forums to help with that side of things.
