My Harmony 650 with additional IR to USB receiver is as responsive as the controller. I wasn't expecting this, so it is a nice surprise. That applies to standard Shield commands, and the extras used by the IR to USB device.
The Shield has it's own IR receiver. Does the IR to USB actually give you any extra functionality?
