Did you try MrMC on the ATV4? It's a Kodi fork (minus add-ons and DVD replay to get it App Store compliant). Pretty effective solution on the ATV4 (though deinterlacing is basic, and the UI a WIP.)
Yes I did. And I liked the ATV alot, also with MrMC, baught it immediatelly. But the deinterlacing capabilities are really bad...and transcoding LiveTV from tvheadend all the time is also not a great solution. So I returned it.
Also the remote support from MrMC was not that great, I know thats their first shot and its great, still not there. So I returned it...
