Think you're right... the first wave of TI-based native 4K single-chip DLP's (like the Acer, Optoma) are rumored to be in the $4,500 to $5,500 range.

Is a damn shame, 3D MVC was the best ever happen to Kodi, I guess the Kodi foundation still want to see us buying 3rd party Hardware and then someone will have a complaint about GPL Violation.
