HiMedia has done a nice job with Q5, especially the addition of 23.976 support recently.

Amlogic also began to support 23.976 in the recently released SDK, but still has some little issues when pass HD audio.

I've been testing this AMlogic 23.976fps(24p) SDK with a S805 running Kodi Isegard on Ubuntu, both with H264 and H265 clips and movies and results are very encouraging.
Avatar is a good movie to test the H264 24p sync out with, and 30 minutes of video resulted in not a single frame drop if my GUI refresh rate in Kodi was set to 24Hz. H265 clips results - a very minor frame drop that is not at all frequent. But to be fair this is a very new and immature codec, it could also be the encoding settings used.

Not sure if its true 24p support or not, as I'm still testing.
