It does appear that without an addons / samsung trickery my NUC i5 Haswell is doing full 3D MVC, and something new is that it is automatically switching SBS 3d as well as recognized by the tv. Perhaps it was the upgrade to Windows 10 that made the magic happen.
I have a number of kodi boxes as well, spanning back to Arctic M00001s,
A chrome box,
Nvidia Shield Android TV
I5 Haswell NUC
I have 4 3D Tvs available to trial test.
A sharp 80" LC80LE844U 240hz 3D
Mits 73" DLP with 3D Adapter for Checkerboard and conversion to full frame
A samsung 78" HU9000 3D with an SEK3500 OCB / *JS mode*
A samsung UN46H7150 3D 46"
This is exciting news to hear about intel's hardware 3D MVC / decoding.
I still yearn for this function on an Nvidia Shield....I know nvidia is listening / just moving slow on this. Maybe now that 3D is pretty much dead with exception to high end models and LG, Sony...perhaps its possible and some info will be shared between chipset manufacturers, and developers.
I for one am glad I have some 3D displays to enjoy 3D for a number of years to come.
