Timeout or user priority

Hi all,

I have happily been running Tvheadend for over a year now. Smile
I'm running Tvheadend on a Ubuntu Server with two tuners and I have four (kid, bedrom, living room #1 and living room #2) Kodi clients connected to it.

If I forget to turn of the Kodi (RPi) in the bedroom it uses a tuner. Is it possible to set the bedroom-user to low priority so that when there are no tuners available and I want to watch TV in the living room the stream to the bedroom client gets killed?

Best regards

Unfortunately that's not possible at the moment. It's something that would have to be implemented in tvheadend, if you want to you can open a ticket on tvheadend.org so it's not forgotten.

As a thought and question

Reading the Subscription section of the Tvheadend_internals:
Quote:Subscriptions with higher weight will outrank lower weighted subscriptions
Would it not be possible, at least in principle, to give the bedroom-user's subscriptions a lower weight to achieve what mjorud is asking?

In principle a client's subscription weight could be a setting of the PVR frontend to be passed to Tvheadend upon subscription start?
