Yeah as far as I know, the various iPlayer addons are all dead. I'm not proficient enough in Python or the proper structure to help fix this one (I wish I was) but what I have done is tidied up my .strm files to include all the Live TV and Radio streams that are available. The new structure now makes it easier to browse channels and let's you choose from the lowest to the highest quality stream (where available) for each channel. I've included a 'How To Install' file for those who aren't sure. It's pretty simple albeit a bit rugged but it works until we get a proper fix.

Until The BBC decide to honour their PSB obligations and release the Nitro API to the public this little £9:99 box is probably the best way to get catchup services from not only Auntie Beeb but the other main terrestrial broadcasters too.
What is wrong with the alternative Kodi iPlayer addon 'BBC iPlayer'? It is easy to find if you Google for it.
Isn't the repo it's hosted on known for injecting adware and other stuff on your kodi system?
It hasn't on any of the 5 Kodi systems I have. They do an ITV Player addon that works very well too. Just sayin.

I have this installed, but it still doesn't seem to work.
Either pops up with loading stream, then does nothing or it said failed to open.Any ideas?
Works perfectly here. The wife is watching it now.

3200k streams are working perfectly for me.

It's working for me too - downloaded yesterday, and tried on several kodi installations

Exobuzz,
There are many things about your addon that I prefer over the "other", but most importantly its the layout of the live and on demand services into the different BBC channels. I will echo the thoughts of others and ask that you please attempt to get your iplayer addon working again. American and Canuck tv is brutal and nothing like the quality that can be found in the uk. I would happily pay a fee to be able to watch the BBC here in Canada but until that option is available, your addon is the best choice I have. Great work in the past and please continue.

I am very much in agreement with this. The UI of your iPlayer addon is perfect in every way. My 5 year old can navigate yours with no issues, the 'other' is a right PITA. Also yours works perfectly with MySQL, it syncs the watched status of any show with all of my Kodi machines. Your addon is greatly missed in our household.

Thanks - I appreciate it. However I'm currently quite busy on other projects right now. The current adding is based around feeds provided previously - to make it work again, the structure would likely need to be changed and some functionality would be lost. It's probably better to stick with the working addon from the other site. I don't want to work on something now, to have to change it all again in 6 months.

If you don't want to install Mickey1234's XUnity repo (which includes some banned add-ons), but do want to install his BBC iPlayer add-on, then you can get the zip file here (version 0.1.0).
Note: without the repo it won't auto-update. I've just tried it and it is working okay for me - although I prefer exobuzz's version and hope it does work again in the future.

Mikey's Bbc iplayer addon doesn't seem to be working for me either now. Has it just stopped working today or is it just me?

Just tried it with the first random show I chose and it works fine.

Cheers. You're right it was just a wifi issue at my end.

Thanks for the link (all tested fine on Mac 10.10 & Gotham 10.3)
