A pull request has been made for the kodi.org repo.
The add-on should update in a few days.

Just wondering what the latest update on this is?  Would appreciate being able to view DIY programming.

Thanks!

I can't speak for the Add-on author, but the file changes can be found on github for the [plugin.video.diy] 3.0.11 commit in case you want to try applying these manually.

Thanks, I may give this a try.

Hi, have there been any updates on this as it's still not working for me?

I can't speak to the functionality of the DIY addon, since I can't open it on either of my systems (Win10 x64 and Shield TV 2017, both running Kodi v18.3).  After launching and before it opens, I get an error referring me to the log.  Copy of the debug log is at https://paste.kodi.tv/vexiriluse.  The non-debug log indicates a failure to open plugin://plugin.video.diy/, but I'm able to access it manually on both systems, so it doesn't appear to be a problem with permissions.  I'd appreciate any guidance on smoking out the problem.

It appears your log is still contaminated with remnant 'extras'. Best practice would be to install a minimal (no add-ons or repositories) portable installation and take the log from that to secure support. https://kodi.wiki/view/Windows_FAQ#Portable

OK, maybe the third time will be magic.  I went the extra mile and completely uninstalled Kodi, then reinstalled it and ran it in portable mode.  The same error with the DIY Network addon persisted.  Here's the debug log file:  https://paste.kodi.tv/durokanepo

Hate quoting myself, I never make any sense. But in this case I can lean on it, and say your portable install doesn't much look like a minimal installation. The idea here is to start with a basic set-up and add plugins and add-on etc one at a time, checking each for functionality as you go. The cleaner your system, the better it's going to run, most of this 3rd party crud is a pain, with code overlays and security holes.

But in this case I saw what appeared to be a Python error in your log.

ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting plugin://plugin.video.diy/

So I took it on myself to load up a minimal Kodi install the 'DIY Network addon' and can confirm it doesn't run on this set-up either, and as the author is on temp leave, support might be a while. I get the same sort of error and at this point I'm unsure if it's a add-on issue or dependency issue, but alas both come from the same author.

quick post script: These issues may involve geo locks, it's been quite a while that I've used this add-on and it's likely geo locks have prevented me from enjoying what should be a world wide resource.

Per post post #77 the add-on works for me when the file changes from the commit for [plugin.video.diy] 3.0.11 are applied.

The DIY Network video add-on appears to have stopped working.

Currently when I open the add-on (v3.0.11) it lists three shows.  However when I choose one of the shows the add-on fails to bring up a list of the episodes.

Thank you @learningit for the prompt response.  I can confirm that the new v3.0.12 add-on fixes the issues I reported.  :-)
