Is it normal? Should it be fullscreen exclusive? How can I fix this? I tried everything :-(

Hi Warner306!

Is the guide you posted still valid for the latest release of DSPlayer (04 October 2015)? In particular I'm wondering if there are some new settings/parameters in the LAV Filter 0.66.0.

Thank you in advance for any clarification.

No new parameters for LAV Filters, only performance improvements.

Is there a way to use lav and ffdshow with music yet? If not is there any information on this such as someone working on it or a way to do it?
Thanks!

No music or plans for music as I'm aware.

No, only Windows.

I just installed this last night after using Kodi for the past few years on my HTPC. I may be a bit slow but is anyone else having Kodi and/or video's zoomed in like crazy? I can remedy it by toggling fullscreen/windowed mode back and forth, but thats not really a great way to do it. Am I maybe missing something?

There is a setting for zoom control in the madVR control panel. Otherwise, I would move this discussion to the DSPlayer forum.

Hello, I am a new user of dsplayer /madvr. all my movies are dvd or blu-ray iso's.
My normal method of starting a movie is with yatse remote, but using the kodi gui has the same result, in that, the movie plays fine but the madvr tray icon does not show, so I can't make adjustments and not sure it is doing anything.
However if I load the iso from windows explorer and play the virtual disc in kodi, the madvr icon appears.
How can I get it to work with my normal method of play.
Thanks for any help.

I don't have any ISO files, but I do know DSPlayer does not support Blu-ray ISO and has limited support for DVD ISO. This would explain why madVR doesn't appear to be working; the file is likely being loaded by DVDPlayer. Press O during playback to confirm.

Hi to all,

i need to discuss about settings for MadVr, not too technical aspect cause i'm not a specialist.

My pc is below:

TV Panasonic 55Dt50 (it 1080p/24p supports)
CPU Intel i7 4770
GPU MSI nvidia gtx960 Gaming
RAM 16GB DDR3 1800Mhz
MOBO Asus z87

and so on...

I would like to know what setting about scaling algorithm...
AS-IS situation

Profile: "1080p"
Chroma: super-xbr150 + AR
Image: Jinc3 + AR
Image Doubling: Off
Upscaling Refinement: Off
Artifact Removal - Debanding: Medium/High
Image Enhancements: FineSharp (strength: 0.5)
Dithering: Error Diffusion 2

Profile: "720p and SD"
Chroma: super-xbr150 + AR
Image: Jinc3 + AR
Image Doubling: Off
Upscaling Refinement: SuperRes (strength: 1)
Artifact Removal - Debanding: Medium/High
Image Enhancements: Off
Dithering: Ordered

In this situation, the video seems to be a little "jerky"...not so much....but i'd like to know if there some wrong setting...

My first need is related to configure correctly madvr, considering my htpc! Smile Thank you!!

@Warner306, have you considered updating the guide so that the terminology in the "Scaling Settings" window when playing a video matches those that are in the guide. I was running through the guide last night (I finally feel DSPlayer is stable enough to run as my daily version of Kodi) and I was getting confused on what Madvr setting I had to adjust and where was it in the DSPlayer interface. Example given was the image refinement options, they're named differently then what is found in the Madvr's configuration windows launched from the tray icon.

just my 0.02

I'm not sure what you mean. Image Enhancements and Upscaling Refinement remains the same in the madVR control panel and Kodi Video Settings.

You would have to be more specific. What terms are named incorrectly? I've noticed aracnoz has misspelled Image Enhancements, FineSharp, LumaSharpen and AdaptiveSharpen. And Upscaling Refinement is found under Scaling algorithms. But these are minor inconsistencies.

Are you confused by the placement of Upscaling Refinement settings, which are buried within Scaling algorithms? I added a note at the beginning of the section dealing with Upscaling Refinement indicating these settings are found within Scaling algorithms... when using the Kodi GUI.
