Win HOW TO - Configure Kodi DSPlayer with LAV Filters, XySubFilter & madVR
I don't see anything wrong. When you select an item and press C, is Play Using... available?

I can confirm after trying multi file and folder setups, it now works with single file formats but does not like work with BDMV folder structure or direct .iso single file? playback does nothing when select the movie i wish to play or with ctrl c or play using selected players just does not load anything,,Am I missing a file in kodi user data structure or playercorefactory.xml file formatting to allow me this to all so work with BDMV or ISO folder structure playback using dsplayer madvr ?

brazen in this forum has a lot of experience with ISO files and BDMV folders. You should ask him: 229692 (thread).

Or are you trying to do this with DSPlayer? If you are using DSPlayer, you are stuck with digital files without proper support for disc images or folder structures.

Hi again thank you for your response I can now confirm ive gotten a little further with the external player playback with Kodi v17.6 and the playercorefactory.xml file it now allows me to playback BDMV folder structure and uses the external player MPC-HC and MadVR in Kodi v17.6 ,,but still no joy in allowing it to open a .iso file in the same way just fails and does nothing when the film selected? where am I going wrong or is the revision 17.6 unable to playback .iso files within kodi?

I am having a problem with some mkv's that will not play the audio.  Video is working.  Most of my mkv's work, I am finding it is the older rips that in many cases the audio is out.  If I disable DSPlayer the audio works.  I have tried updating the LAVfilters and that did not help.  I restored them to their original versions since it did fix anything.

Can you post the the MediaInfo for the audio track? Maybe something is odd about the way it was encoded. I've yet to encounter a file that didn't have audio.

Edit: I'll look at your log file and see if it's in there.

Can you switch from Directsound to Wasapi in Kodi settings and try again?

I can't tell what went wrong from your log. As noted above, try toggling between having exclusive mode on or off in the DSPlayer settings menu. Also post the MediaInfo of the available audio tracks, if possible.

Did you check the sound settings menu during playback to see if you can change to another available audio track?

Sorry for the delay, I was not subscribed to the thread.

Most of the mkv rips only have a single audio track.  Here are a few examples that do not work:

It looks like I have the problem solved, after playing some mkv's to find the ones that did not work, it turned out they were all DTS audio.  DTS-HD was working.

I turned off DTS bit streaming which allowed audio to come through as PCM.  I then noticed the switch 'Use DTS-HD framing for all DTS types" was on. I turned back on DTS bit streaming and turned off DTS-HD framing and now they work great!

Yes, you should almost never check that option in LAV Audio.

Do I have to use Krypton 17.6, or can I use a newer release please? If so, what is the latest release I can use that will still be compatible with DSPlayer and madVR?

Krypton 17.6 is the last release of DSPlayer available. The developer, aracnoz, left to pursue other things.
