Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows
I have a 3D 65 inch OLED TV, 3D is totally sick, it never took off as these TV's weren't available at the time and its pretty pointless on anything below 65 IMHO, if everyone had one of these you'd all be watching stuff in 3D Smile

Also LAV .68 brings full MVC 3D playback, there isnt really any need to ugprade otherwise, you might as we be any older version of KODI/LAV/DSPLAYER.

I'm using the standard audio renderer, if this was an issue i'd see problems with the 2D and SBS stuff too?

Are we sure this isnt an issue with the LAV filters? as its choppy in both MPC using .68 as an external filter and DS KODI.

I'd be good for $50.

I'm broke but would be willing to participate too.

There's one video add-on that I absolutely need Kodi for (the only other alternatives being a dedicated set top box with crappy picture or watching straight from the browser with an even crappier picture).

And of course DSPlayer + madVR is significantly better than DVDPlayer IMO, not only picture quality wise but also for playback smoothness and refresh rate switching (the latter of which just didn't work well with variable frame rate videos using DVDPlayer).

Does it work with MPC-HC?

it now works as I have loaded the filters externally using MPC-HC (they arent baked in yet) but it is choppy as hell with 3D MKV MVC files, ok with everything else.

I would gladly help if I knew for real Aracnoz was gonna come back, but something tells me even with the "money", he won't be willing to return.

ok, so klite pack has 0.68 baked in now but it looks like they forgot to add the 3DMVC extra option so essentially a pointless upgrade for anyone. CCC still on old versions. You can install latest MPC-HC and use 0.68 as an external filer but its still choppy.

Sh!t never just works does it...

MVC 3D requires a good GPU; it is very resource intensive. The frame-packed output is two 1080p frames packed together.

i thought that for a moment, then i remembered the files play perfectly fine in stereoscopic player.

I dont think hardware acceleration is working in LAV filters for ATI cards, yes it is hammering my CPU at 70% but when I play the same movie in stereoscopic player it plays fine and runs about 10%

So yeah, thats the problem,hardware acceleration isn't working, its set to copy back,i've also tried natve an none, no change.

madVR isn't impacted by hardware accelerated decoding or hardware (DXVA) rendering. It is like a video game to the driver.

Also, the MVC 3D decoder used by LAV Video is a software decoder, so hardware acceleration is not possible.

What kind of GPU are you using? It is most likely the weak link. madVR is far more demanding than other media players.

My CPU is a low power affair so I can leave it on all the time so that's never going to work. Yeah i've just been advised as much, its only become clear to me know that it doesn't hardware accelerate, back to stereoscopic player then which does.

I'm using Kodi Jarvis 16.1 + dsplayer (05/02/2016)

Picture is absolutely amazing. Watching a 720p TV show looks more like 1080p blu-ray.

No problem there. However, I'm noticing form the log file that madvrSettings.xml doesn't seem to load. There's only one occurrence of a madvrSettings.xml section in the log and it's not loading.

Code:

22:43:07 T:9808  NOTICE: CMadvrSettings::InitSettings load madvrSettings.xml from home folder

madvrSettings.xml is not in the userdata folder. It's not in the home folder either. It's in C:\Program Files (x86)\Kodi\system\players\dsplayer

But, picture is fine. So, it doesn't seem to affect madvr. madvr might be loading some optimized defaults.

Hello guys,

I am having issue with ISO playback. I know it is not supported with DSPlayer, my concern is that the DVDplayer won't start instead of DSPlayer.
kodi.log
mkv files play fine.

I am using KodiSetup-jarvis.16.1.dsplayer-final-05.02.2016.08.05.dx11.exe
madvr latest
dsplayer internal filters
reclock

My playercorefactory.xml is:
Code:
<playercorefactory>
    <rules action="prepend">
        <rule filetypes="iso|bdmv|mpls" protocols="daap|rtv|rtmp|http|https|rtmpe|mms|rtp" dvd="true" dvdimage="true" dvdfile="true" player="DVDPlayer" />
    </rules>
</playercorefactory>

Did you try:

<rule protocols="http|https|daap|rtv|rtsp|rtmp|rtmpe|rtsp|mms|rtp|pvr" player="DVDPlayer"/>
