Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows
(2015-07-12, 20:07)vmax Wrote: One more thing I forgot to mention, has anyone had an issue where you fast forward through the end of the credits in a show, and when the UI comes back all of the writing is just white square blocks? I have to stop KODI and re-start it to get the writing back.

Haven't seen that. I would recommend setting DSPlayer to Force madVR to exit fullscreen before stop. The process of stopping a video seems improved.

1. Regarding the xysubfilter. I asked earlier regarding downloading subtitles and being forced to restart player to get it show downloaded subtitle.
Aracnoz had that working earlier #34 in this thread:
http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=...pid1973237

Am I missing something why it is not working anymore?

Q2: One of my clients are crashing each time I use XySubFilter and try to download subtitles. If I disable it in mediasconfig the internals are working, but how can it be?
I've checked the log and it shows nothing. I have it installed in x86 folder 32bit version and installed as administrator. My other machine are working fine. This one is W8.1 64bit. Any thoughts?

@aracnoz,

The most recent update to madVR contains some changes relevant to developers. The GPU usage on pause has been addressed and the way the madVR OSD works has been changed.

This is the post of interest: http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=17...ount=31729.

yes i'm testing these new changes made for advanced gui like kodi dsplayer, so good news no more lag with kodi interface and high gpu usage while pause state Smile

i have to only solve something strange with the new "latency mode"

p.s.

the current version of Kodi DSPlayer it's not compatible with madvr 0.88.17 so you have to wait the next version, my hope it's to post a new build for the weekend

obviously the next version of dsplayer will be not compatible with madvr versions < 0.88.17

Thanks for the continued work. Look forward to the updated version for 0.88.17
Good luck with your strange issue!

I have set it Force madVR to exit fullscreen and it still does the same thing. However with this latest version of DSPlayer, I no longer have the issue of the gui slowing down. (Yea) I have been trying to capture the screen with ctrl-s but now if I fast forward through the credits, most of the time I get just a black screen and Kodi stops responding. I have left the black screen for over 10 minutes to see if it would recover but it doesn't. When I look in the log is looks like everything released properly, but it doesn't go back to the gui. If I fast forward to ALMOST the end then hit play everything works properly. This is the end of the log after fast forwarding to the end, but I had to kill Kodi with task manager since it was not responding. I get the same log file with or without exit to fullscreen before stop.

Now if I could just capture the white blocks! Might be my old computer but I am running a new nvidia 610 gpu and it still does the white blocks. If I can capture it I will post what it looks like or I could take a picture and upload it.

@aracnoz: Can you take a quick look when you got time on post #887. Am I wrong or did you had it working earlier so you could download subtitles, without having to restart video to get it loading?

it works for me without restart the video, try to check if everything it's set properly with your xysubfilter in this way

Image

then you should have always xysubfilter loaded even with files without subtitles

Hi aracnoz thanks for the quick answer. I have these settings and also xysubfilter is loading even if there is no subtitles. I have always load in xysubfilter, the only difference I have specified.
I have attached a picture of a video with no subtitles initially. It loads xysubfilter and after I try downlaoding subtitle, which is does. XYsubfilter is still empty until I restart video.

I have uploaded picture below.

Your help is really appreciated.

With madVR 0.88.17 deinterlacing gave me serious juddering and flickering problems. I had to resort to CUDA deinterlacing in LAV Filters. This not only in Kodi but in MPC-HC as well, on 1080i MPEG-2 and H.264 content.

I hope this could be tested before taking DSPlayer on a 0.88.17 or higher version requirement for madVR.

Edit: I see madshi is already at work on this bug. Good. Smile
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first (usually it's enough to follow instructions in the second post).

Hello everyone!

I started to use the DSPlayer also for watching TV with MediaPortal. Unfortunately i m not able to switch a channel while another channel is running, so i have to stop the playback everytime. Are you able to zap through channels?
I hope you could help me! Blush
(But on the other side i could start a movie while another is running before.)

You should wait for the new build of DSPlayer and try again. I am using v0.88.17 of madVR and I think stopping a video is improved, but it might be placebo. The problem is DSPlayer is not smooth in panning shots due to the changes to madVR.

I tend to agree, that's what I am going to do.

Thanks again for your constant help on this forum...

agreed. I have the same problem with the latest RC2 Kodi DSPlayer build from the 12th and the latest codec drivers, including MadVR.
