Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows
(2016-03-02, 13:34)oldpoem Wrote: You need to put mediasconfig in dsplayer subfolder not userdata. Also you need filters config file as well.

I have now put both mediasconfig and filtersconfig inside Roaming - Kodi - userdata - dsplayer folder and modified mediasconfig to include mpls ("mkv|mpls"). I still can't play Blu-Ray index files and get the error. Is there a detailed guide somewhere to show what to do?

Popular and high speed sites like youtube or dailymotion seems ok with Lavsouce & DSPlayer.
Yup, the problem is that aracnoz decided to hardcode Lav Splitter (internal) for all kinds of streams. There's no over-ruling that, not even through mediaconfig.xml. This is problematic because:

1) Lav Splitter (internal) might not necessarily be the best solution for any given stream.
2) We are stuck with the version he implemented (if I remember correctly he mentioned it was a modified version, but I might have gotten that wrong, back then).
I believed the modified version was all lavfilters to work with Kodi GUI settings. The maun reason was you can change settings via remote.
Ok, yes, lavfilters can be updated, I see the the new builds have updated filters. But the problem remains, the LAV Splitter is hardcoded, there is no way to use a different filter for internet streams. If you find it, please do share. Thanks.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first (usually it's enough to follow instructions in the second post).

Some1 can tell you Smile

If for instance, your TV can't be powered on by IP Control (my case) and you want to be able to power it without the use of IR technology, a USB-CEC adapter is the ideal thing.

I drive my HC with the iRule app on an iPad. Every device at home is IP Controlable, even the TV (Panasonic ST60), but the only thing I can't control is the TV when it is OFF (in order to have this feature i should have bought the high end Z60, cheers to marketing policies!).

So this adapter do the trick : when I start my HTPC (Kodi), it starts the TV by CEC (I use eventghost to trigger a startTV.bat script at boot time)

My Xbox one can control my TV but maybe thats IR? its a pretty new TV.

There was hardly any any internet streaming direct show filters at the time. There were probably only well-known 2 source filters, file souce one that support http only which has not been updated in years and LAVsource which do the same and better in every possible way. So probably aracnoz didn't see the point of make it customizable.

Too bad your reference Youtube source filter had been unknown piece of software so far. Unless someone with coding skill step in to do the job. We're stuck with current code which is not that bad. But lately I've been using Chrome Launcher to view youtube most of the time. It has pre-configured Youtube Leanback (which launch youtube/tv). It is the same as launch Chrome and open youtube. It can be use with remote as well.and can be configured to feel seemless with Kodi.

Can someone tell me if the MVC 3D decoder is installed with the internal version of LAV Video? I think it is, but I can't remember.

The link for 16.0 final build is giving me 404, is there a mirror or could Wanilton take a look?

Thanks for continuing to support DSPlayer by providing these builds. And as an idea, maybe you could include SHA1 etc. hashes for final release files (16.0, 16.1, ...). If they are mirrored somewhere it would be easy to check that they are unmodified files.

Is Derek correct? Does the interval LAV Filters include installation of the optional MVC 3D decoder?

Read carefully, it's a joke, don't take it seriously.

So no 3D support with the new LAV filters?

It is nightly compiled, if 3d support is already committed, it should be there to use.

Edit: https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters/commits/master

It should be there but I don't own or watch 3D MVC so can't say for sure if it's working or not

Thanks a lot, do I need latest madVR build or only the last one that was supported by DSPlayer?
