Hi jamontes,

First off, thank you for fixing the plugin (and the mention in the PR ;-) )

I was wondering if it would be possible to add a "search by program name" function, instead just a search everything.

Thanks in advance
Best regards

Hi Crashillo,

Sorry for the delay in answering your post.

I've taken the chance to fix the direct channels links and by the way have a look to see if i could include the search option for each program section, and so i did. Now there is a search option available at the top of the first page on each program audio list. This search option will filter by the keywords selected the title names of the podcasts relating to the program. I guess this is what you wondered with your suggestion.

As the PR with the new release (v1.0.9) is already merged into the official KODI repository this early morning (thanks to Martijn) you will be ready to update your system and try it.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion and best regards,

jamontes.

Hi jamontes,

Good job, always is gratifying see new options, but actually I was suggesting a search by podcast name (sorry the misunderstanding), that's it, for instance, at the top level you get podcast by genre, podcast by channel... so there, or inside the search option (global), another option to search by podcast, in order to get all programs a podcast have.

Hi Crashillo,

In order to search by program name (in alphabetical order), there is the "Listado de programas" already available on the main menu. From there you can navigate directly (although it could be something slow) up to your preferred program. Unfortunately, there isn't the search by program name (i would say rather than podcast) as an option on the website, so there isn't available on the add-on neither, as far as it retrieves the information directly from the website.

Sorry that i cannot include by the moment the feature as you like. Maybe in the future the website would include such feature, and then i could try to include it as well into the add-on as an enhancement.

Best regards,

jamontes.

Hi,

Thanks for this addon, it's been one of the reasons to replace my aging FM radio and CD players with a Kodi setup

But some weeks ago this addon stopped working for me :-(

At first podcast didn't play but live listening worked, but then things went worse, and now podcast are not even listed and live listening stopped working

I have checked all my Kodi installations with negative results:
  • Kodi 17 on Windows 10 PC
  • Libreelec 8.2 on Amlogic S905
  • FTMC on Android 5.1 on Rockchip RK3368
I can play RNE podcasts and live channels on that same PC with Firefox browser or Foobar2000 player with no troubles.

I've also tried to get the media URLs from the PC and send then to Kodi via Firefox's "Send to Kodi" extension, but again it didn't work.

So maybe something Kodi-related is not working properly, and it's not specific of your addon. But any help will be welcome.

I'm not very familiar with Kodi's inner workings, but I should be able to provide logs if instructed what to do :-)

Best regards,

Hi,

It seems that RNE has been making again changes to their site and podcasts are not working.

Live streams are OK, but the addon doesn't find any podcast. And Kodi accepts direct links to podcast mp3 files, but doesn't play anything. The same links can be played in a PC with Foobar2000 or VLC without problem.

If you can take a look at it, it would be great Smile

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

Hi cgg1969,

Sorry for the delay in coming back to you, but I had to do some mayor changes to the add-on code due to the website internal changes in order to recover most of its original functionality. I've just released a new version 1.0.11 with the fixes, and submitted to the official repository to make it available for everyone in a few days hopefully.

Many thanks for your help in keeping the add-on working and best regards,

jamontes.
