How about adding images in the Kodi settings with QR codes that will be shown on your TV to can be scanned with your smartphone's camera to install the official Kodi Remote apps?
Checkout this video with EzeeCube setup as an example:
The idea would be to include a single QR-code or a QR-code each for the official Kodi Remote app for Android and iOS linked to their respectively app store for installing when scanned:
Using such a unified combo QR code on the kodi.tv website would also mean that you do not need to use separate QR codes for Android and iOS as you need today, such as this:
