Did you set that up through xorg.conf? What OS are you using?

If this skin needs a physical 21:9 resolution like those widescreen monitors, I guess this won't work with projectors.

I think for projector support we would need a 16:9 skin, but with all GUI elements placed inside 800px height (if full HD). And this 800px height GUI would have to be moved to the upper end and the lower end of the screen (like it is possible today with the vertical height setting when watching a 21:9 movie).

But I don't know if this is something BigNoid can support in this skin.

I have a JVC with lens memory can get any size i want

The sizes we are chatting about is resolutions. Can you get a 21:9 resolution, like 2560x1080 on your JVC?

That would be up to your pc's gpu to downsample any resolution higher than 1920x1080 either being 16:9 or 21:9 aspect ratio. I sometimes use 2560x1088 when playing some pc games because it's less of a performance hit than using 3200x1360

Well, the JVCs wont accept custom resolution. i have tried many times, different JVC projectors, different graphics. Anyway a custom resolution is not ideal for CIH with lens memory.
We really need a 1920*1080 with all of the GUI within ~800 pixels and black bars. I will be happy to elaborate. This has been a huge problem for years.

Yeah that's what I've been working on as I had problems getting a custom resolution to work.

The SIM2 Nero 235 was marketed as a "2.35:1 format projector with advanced electronics", but its actual native resolution was: 2560x1600 (i.e. Aspect Ratio: 16:10 - WQXGA). Note: That is a data mode so not sure if it would accept that via the HDMI port.

As far as I know it is discontinued. Probably not a big seller at over $20K.

EDIT: Only for Isengard. github link

I've tested this version, and it looks really good! The only issue I ran in to so far is that the scroll list on the homescreen cuts off too soon (1920px maybe?)

Thanks for this! I just picked up a 34" Dell and this works really well. I hope we see more ultra widescreen support from other skins soon.

That was also for me the main reason to code this Smile

Are you planning on still supporting 21x9 in the krypton branch? I've been waiting to upgrade Kodi until the skin support is there :0)

Thanks for your hard work!

Hello Did you ever get this working?   I also have a 160' 2.35:1 screen and would love to stop using lens memory.

If so can you please share how you did it?

Thanks,
AH
