I've installed kodi on my laptop , and I have realized that I have installed the beta version 15.0 Isengard.
I would like to know how I would go about getting back to the stable version of 14.2 , since I'm new to using this I would like to have a little bugs to deal with as possible.
Should I un-install it and re-install it and not do an update?
I'm running linux mint 13.

Is it still possible to do the downgrade now that Isengard is stable?
I should have read the changelog before installing - the removal of the MythTV VFS is a bit of a deal breaker for me (upgrading my very stable MythTV backend in order to use the PVR addon is not something I particularly want to do).

Thanks very much, wsnipex. Much appreciated.
I'm having some audio issues on Isengard so I'll keep it installed for now and paste some debug logs (posted on another thread already) to make sure I can post some useful feedback first. Once that's done I'll downgrade.

I tried to downgrade using the *.deb, but got an error saying that kodi depends on kodi-bin and that kodi-bin was not installed (package error kodi (--install))

There's a kodi-bin deb file on the page that wsnipex linked in his post.

I'm going to try this tonight, but are you saying that you've downloaded both the kodi deb file (per wsnipex's post) and the kodi-bin deb file (from the bottom link is his post) and it's still not working?

I downloaded the missing kodi-bin from the post.
Installation is OK now.
But:
1. I can't use autostart (kodi -d 20 --standalone -fs), as up from now the command needs sudo.
2. I can't use synaptic, as kodi 2.14 and kodi-bin 2.14 are marked as corrupted

then you did something wrong, e.g. started kodi as root once. Make sure your ~/.kodi and ALL files below fully belong to your user.
As for synaptic: no idea. I hope you downloaded the correct debs for your distro version. Provide the full error output.
Finally: such downgrades are not supported and should only be done be users that can fix issues themselves.
