V1.0.9 in my git:

Sometime in the last 2 hrs, Sharknado 3 was added and broke the addon. Version 1.0.9 is the fix.
If you goto addon settings and set "Enable Metadata Next Start" the addon will do all the work deleting and rebuilding shows.json.

If you have installed my test repo:

You should get an "auto-update" or "update available" message, depending on your "auto-update" setting. You may need to do a "Check for updates" to see the new version.

Please let me know if this works so that I can get the kodi.org repo updated.

I use your addon with a VPN and its working fine.
But i have also "SmartDNS", and Syfy is working fine in Firefox, Chrome etc., but not with your addon.

I prefer SmartDNS, because its faster.
Any ideas, suggestions?

Not really. I'm guessing that there's an issue with https.
I'm also pretty sure that you're not playing the same full episodes off the syfy website I am in a browser.

Unlocked episodes are a whole different deal they don't use https.

The same answer, I don't think the SmartDNS you use is supporting https, whereas the VPN does. Going through a browser uses a different format for the video which doesn't require https (but isn't directly playable in Kodi).

I have a new version 2.0.2 which has been added to the Isengard and higher kodi.org repo.
As the earlier Gotham version breaks, I will not be updating or supporting the older version in the Gotham repo.
There have been a number of issues with this addon not working on some pre-Helix platforms due to lack of ssl support in ffmpeg and subtitles have been wanky at best.
The new version cleans that up and adds better metadata caching through the use of a common library which will make support for my 40+ addons easier and more timely.

Please mark your old Addons broken in pre Isengard if they stop working. You can put a message in the broken tag for users to upgrade kodi to continue using them.

Will do. They are still working ok, just with some subtitle issues I believe.
