I didn't have that kind of error on the Windows version. Although I haven't tried the latest, but when I first installed and tested the MediaImporter build.

and try to update it manually.Unfortunately I don't really know how the Python 2 to 3 migration works. I simply updated the dependency of

on xbmc.python
to 3.0.0
