Did a fresh install on my laptop which didn't have any version of Kodi before.
Fixed the issue by deleting the myvideo119.db file, when restarting Kodi everything was working fine again.

Several people told me that users shouldn't use the API key functionality if there's an easy way for username / password authentication. That's why I completely removed it.
