I am using Kodi 14.2, newsest tvheadend and the HTSP client of opdenkamp's pvr addons repo.

I have noticed that there is an issue which skipping if you are using the live timeshift feature.
Sometimes it happens that the playback resets to the beginning or the seekbar isn't updated correctly.

Use the nightly builds and the latest version of tvheadend, it shouldn't happen anymore with that combination.
