For the 2nd time my machine has gone to a main menu with only 2 icons, no backrounds and no ability to select anything or exit.
Leaving it for 10+ mins, nothing changes.
I then have to force lose kodi.
When I go back in, default skin is loaded and black glass is not shown as even installed, it has to be downloaded again.

Is there any other information I can supply that may help diagnose?

I don't kwow what has happened. This is not normal. The skin should have updated itself without issues.
