It says 13 items which is actually the number of unwatched shows and not episodes, i have several with double unwatched episodes and they are not counted on the root menu.
Is this a bug or by design ?

It work on mine properly, maybe cause you're filtering the list to just episodes unwatched as at the top it tells you the number of total items available.

Gvasco. i'm not talking about the unwatch counter on every show, there it works ok, it says 2 unwatch if i click a specific show.
I'm talking as the screenshot shows about the total unwatch items on the root menu of tv shows.

The number at the top shows the total number of items on that menu. The fact that your "List" setting in the side bar is set to unwatched it will only show you the shows with unwatched episodes. If you change it to "List: All Videos" then it should tell you the total number of TV shows you have.
