I have just ordered an ifi nano idsd dac

This has a usb input and will go to my 2 channel integrated amplifier.
I read that Helix supports DSD playback.
So my question is will Kodi send the dsd audio output through the usb port or is it only over hdmi ?
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm just getting into computer audio and hi-rez music.
I will be using an i3 based windows system.
