Yes, that was one of my first thoughts with vertical drawing more voltage. It's rated as a 1 amp PSU and I have also tried running it directly from a Pi USB port as well as a powered hub to tick all the boxes. It does receive some vertical channels with no problems and tbh I have not extensively sat down and worked out what transponders it does and doesn't get, this is more a quick 5 minute check (sadly decorating calls at home whilst it's good weather!!)

What I have found on the Openelec forums is this post: http://openelec.tv/forum/83-dvb-s-s2-sup...lec#141477 which indicates there may be an issue with the drivers, I'm stuck what to do next though.

I meant on your hd star? I found mine was broken. I replaced it with a new UK one instead.

It's measuring a pretty good 7.5v which is what's needed, how did you notice your supply was faulty?
