It's a bug with all latest versions of VLC. Deinstall it and try it again with the version 2.1.5.

Cool.
Which field of engineering are you in?

Would it be possible to use another media player beside VLC?
e.g potplayer

or launch your default media as an external program for video/trailer previews etc..?

Might be a better work around, also not everyone has VLC installed or is their preferred media player.

I think potplayer don't have an ActiveX plugin.

But to get the VLC player work:
Please try to COPY the Interop.AXVLC.dll from .\EmberMediaManager\Modules to .\EmberMediaManager.

Yes, I did..

When I click check installation
It says "All is good"

But now all it shows is a VLC icon in the preview window

Do u need to associate VLC with all movie files etc?
Cos I prefer it to not be my default movie player.

I just updated to version 1.4.6

It can now play local available trailers
but not able to preview trailers..

How can I get it to play preview trailers?

Could I be getting this error as I dont have VLC installed? I dont actually want to install it but Ember seems to need it for trailers? Correct me if I am wrong ...

I'm running 1.4.7.2 and I am getting the active x VLC plugin error. I don't want to install VLC either. I don't like VLC, never have.
