What's wrong with the topic based requests?
- Good feature requests get lost
- Same feature is requested over and over
- '+1 replies' are not tracked - hard to see the real demand

What could it be?
- Structured requests
- No duplicates
- Devs can pick something that is not only something that they would like themselves but that they know of a lot of people want/appreciate
- Tracked upvotes (downvotes)
- Trash bad requests/unrelated/duplicates

Example: something like uservoice.com (not affiliated) but a free variant - or maybe a proven MyBB plugin

- People do not read through the previous 10 discussions on why half of what 'it could be' has not happened.

I would love a system within MyBB to help with tracking feature requests, but this is not a easy, administration-free and time-free system to set up.
If you know of any plugin that can do it, we could start testing on a test forum.
