i have a iptv m3u loaded but for some reason the channels are not working... they are all loaded and it comes up with the loading symbol but just doesn't open. any reasons why

Check the source file (your m3u list) and try to open the links with vlc. Probably the source of the media is down.
Please note, kodi iptv simple is to be used with a legit iptv service, not to be fully loaded with hundreds of random links/lists you find on the web. If that's the case, please have a look at the http://kodi.wiki/view/Forum_rules (no piracy support basically).
Also, you're part of a forum community. People are here to discuss kodi, to help or to get help. A thread with title "Help"/"Help me please!!!" doesn't help anyone and basically removes any motivation to help you out. Please use a proper thread title the next time, one that clearly makes a summary of your issue.
