ADB not working for me as with Fire TV. Via Windows command prompt, did adb connect <nVidia IP>, but doesn't work. I get a "Unable to connected to IP:5555" error. Have you guys been able to connect successfully via ADB? If so, can you explain steps? Thanks.

You may have to go to the developer options and enable debugging. I know with the ADT-1 at one point Google disabled wireless debugging by default so you would have to connect via USB (annoying) and do adb tcpip 5555. Then you could connect wirelessly. It's what I have to do with my N5 since I don't want to root it.

Yes, adb over wireless is disabled by default. You have to restart the daemon listening on port 5555 and then connect.

Never mind, I used ESFileExplorer to update to latest build instead.

Re: MPEG2, it exhibits a stuttery, stobe-like playback issue, unless I disable deinterlacing every time stream or recorded video plays. What should I be doing for MPEG2?

Kodi crashes if you select "Stereo upmix" with 5.1 selected as Number of channels:

Same thing happening to me.

Mine crashes as well with 5.1 or 7.1 selected.

Try changing to 'Fixed output' in 'Settings > System > Volume mode' and turning the volume all the way up in Kodi (right joystick).

What settings do we have to use to make sure the HD audio streams decode to PCM? Or does Koying's "* (not working HD audio)" note mean it isn't possible yet.
#25
The TAB/SBS 3D seems to be related to how the Shield implemented 4k, my Nexus Player doesn't have any problems so hopefully android M will fix it if its not a Kodi issue.

Tried it, same results. Same thing happened on my RK3288 Beelink r89 device. The fix was I had to use optical out to the soundbar, the shield only has hdmi. The Netflix app doesn't play any videos with 5.1 either. Strange my PS3 hdmi bitstream works just fine.

Shield HDMI -> TCL TV -> COAX SPDIF -> VIZIO 5.1

You mean without downsampling? Cause it works if you just turn TrueHD and DTS-MA capable receiver off.
#28
Yes. That's what I meant. I didn't realize I had rto 3nable pass through and then leave everything off... Correct?
#29
If you enable DD and DTS, and disable TrueHD and DTS-MA, then you will get DD and DTS bitstreamed normally, TrueHD downsampled and converted to PCM, and DTS-MA will get just core DTS track bitstreamed, which basically makes DTS-MA output regular DTS.
#30
Ok thanks. Is this build not using the DTS Ma decoder that the RPi2 is?
