Release OneDrive for KODI (Officially in Kodi Addon Repository)
Starting last night, I have been unable to add my Microsoft Onedrive account within KODI. It gives me a code to enter on the https://kodi-login.herokuapp.com/ website, but the code is always rejected as being invalid... even when I scan the QR code instead of entering it manually. I tried this on my new Firestick device, on a Windows 10 laptop, and on an Android TV box... all with the same result. I contacted Microsoft Onedrive support and they suggested that the problem is with KODI. Has anyone else seen this problem? Has anyone resolved this? Thanks so much.

I'm so sorry that I don't understand how to use this forum, but I am completely frustrated at my sudden inability to add my OneDrive account to KODI. I have been using OneDrive with KODI for a long time now, but I had to factory reset my Firestick and now the kodi-login.herokuapp.com/ web page won't accept the codes I was given. I'm a newbee here and don't mean any harm... I'm just trying to get help from the only source I can find. All Google searches on the issue have failed to give me any advice. Please be kind... and please help if you know what I'm doing wrong.
Thank You

I to have not been able to add onedrive to Kodi for almost a month now. Sad

@Denace looks like Kode is not scaning music files when the source is a remote location. I'll try to dig more on it but no resolution for now.

@shollystuff the login has been working fine. Is your kodi device in the same wifi as your device you are using to sign-in? Please post your debug log file. Follow the instructions here: https://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Easy

@T5740 I need more information than that. Always post your debug log file so I can take a look. https://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Easy.

People, always make sure your kodi device in the same wifi (or network) as your device you are using to sign-in (cellphone, tablet, PC, etc.).
if you are using your cellphone to do the login and your cellphone is using your 4G signal and you kodi device is connected to your home wifi, your code entered from your cellphone will get rejected.

I was using a PC on my own network it just kept on giving me the same error message as shollystuff. Strangely it is working fine today and the website came up with a QR code for the first time for me today as well. Thanks for all of your hard work on this plugin.

One problem I have been having since I have been using this plugin from when you released it is I have never been able to integrate my movie collection from onedrive as a source properly into Kodi where I will get clip art and metadata etc. I went into onedrive and clicked on my movie category and exported strm into a folder I created for it. I then went into movies and made it a source and told it to scan it but it just pops up the scan for a second and does nothing. When I look into that folder that I created there is nothing in it? I know I am probably overlooking a obvious step here.

@T5740 Your movie folders or movie filenames needs to be in an specific format. That's a kodi functionality and it's outside the scope of the addon. Follow the instructions and examples from here: https://kodi.wiki/view/Naming_video_files/Movies
First test adding your movies from your local hard drive folder. After you have everything working local and everything looks good with your library, then you can replicate the same logic with the folders and files in you OneDrive. Then you can export them to strm files and add them to your library and should work exactly the same.

I hope I did the Logfile request properly. Here's the link I got...   https://paste.kodi.tv/ibewiyuvoq
Originally I was having problems setting up Onedrive on a 2nd gen Firestick which is on my home network, same as my PC and laptop. Today I tried to run the Onedrive authorization on my laptop and got the same message that the code is invalid.
Please let me know if you need more information. I will do my best to get what you need.
Thank You so much.

@shollystuff everything looks good from the kodi device side.
I do need more information to be able to help you.
Can you repeat the process, send me the debug log file again but also confirm which URL your are entering the code to. (it should be https://drive-login.herokuapp.com)
Also I need what this page is returning: https://drive-login.herokuapp.com/ip. Send me the result by private message. That's your ip and that's what the login app uses to match your kodi device with your browser device doing the logging process.
Let me know.

I followed the IP link you gave me and it returned this: 100.11.100.236. But when I tried to recreate the error, this time it allowed me to authenticate Onedrive. So technically, its working again. I didn't do anything differently this time from all the other times I've tried it. In fact, before I started this thread, I was successfully using the herokuapp link for Onedrive. Then I created a build of my Kodi setup and saved it to a flash drive. Then I did a complete uninstall of the Kodi app and re-installed it from the Kodi website. Once re-installed, I couldn't authenticate Onedrive anymore. I don't know if that helps you any, but I thought I'd mention it.
Thanks again for all the help

I'm suspecting you were entering the code in the old login app (kodi-login) which was used for old versions. I just took it down now.
Everybody should update the addon and use https://drive-login.herokuapp.com to do the login process.

Thank I got it working well. I am guessing becasue you are manually exporting them like this that there is no way to automatically have it scrape your onedrive and update the folders as you add new stuff like new TV show episodes etc?
Reply
@T5740 Yes, there is an option in the Export window to watch for changes in your drive and it will update your exported folder when you add new stuff.
