Center channel boost for windows
#1
I saw in the raspberry Pi forum there is a center channel boost option that's not present in windows. I know someone posted a patch in GitHub for windows, but that's above my head. It would be nice to have that option in the windows build.

I second that. The option to boost the center channel when downmixing is really useful for 2.0/2.1 audio setups. I have such a setup using Kodi on a Raspberry Pi 2 + TV + 2.1 audio and this option greatly improves the dialogue for media with 5.1 audio streams.

Please make this feature available on all platforms.

I ported the patch from OpenELEC sources for Kodi 15.2 on Gentoo Linux x64 and it works perfectly:

This is supposed to be done by an audio DSP addon.

I'm sorry, this should probably be added to the forum rules, it's not mentioned there.

Why should such a basic feature which requires so little changes regarding the sources require a plugin to do that?
