Actually, if you bother checking the release notes, the driver applies to "all" Intel boards and SoCs from 4th gen (Haswell) onwards to 6th gen (Skylake). 7th gen and upwards have a less restricted version of Intel HD Graphics, and (AFAIK) don't suffer this issue. I just tried installing it on my old Ivy Bridge Intel NUC (DN2820FYKH), which was a no-go. But those work with a forced install of an older, "mismatched" driver. On my BeeBox N3150, this driver it works great.

Be noted that this driver is an unsigned beta. The fix is due to be merged into future official drivers, but this way they could push it out sooner for those that don't want to wait. What this means, is if you're running Win 10 with the anniversary update, you'll need to disable Secure Boot in BIOS /UEFI. Same goes for all other unsigned drivers.

Its amazing how many people don't bother to check the release notes.

Finally. I can't even imagine the ammount of hours, days and weeks combined, I've spent on this thing. It took us almost 3 friggin' years of arguing and pummeling Intel with proof of function, white paper documentation, functional demonstrations... But finally, with a ton of help and personal dedication from cvare, a lone support rep with the Intel Community support forum - we got there.

just picked up an Aspire xc 704g from Walmart for $250. to my surprise, it has a N3150 instead of a N3050 which is what is advertised..
I apologize, if it's already been asked, does the N3150 do Hevc 10bit? thought maybe intel would of made an update for HD gpu drivers to support it.

Better to return it and get Intel Kaby or Apollo Lake Hardware.

no, it's a hardware limitation, all N3xxx SoCs are limited to 8-bit HEVC only
