Display music folder image (album art) as background?

Great skin!

Under Music: I'd like to use any image in the current folder being browsed as the background. That way it can pick up album art in your album folders.

And perhaps also use the same image(s) as a visualization?

Is that possible?

Thanks

Blurred album art for music viz is already added on github. No plans to make it available as music library background.

Thanks. How do I go about enabling it?

You've got to download and manually install the latest version from github.

https://github.com/bryanbrazil/skin.mimic

Then play some music and go to the setting button in the music viz toolbar. Cycle through the first button, there's an option for blurred album cover.

Thanks for your patience. I'm running this on an Amazon Fire TV (Isengard RC nightly).

I switched skins, downloaded the zip, installed it over the top of the previous installation in Add-ons, switched back and rebooted.

Unfortunately, the only options I can find are: Fanart, Random Fanart and CD Wall.

What could I be doing wrong?

Forgot to mention, you will need the latest script.toolbox

https://github.com/phil65/script.toolbox

I'm waiting to submit the latest version of Mimic to the repo until the latest versions of script.toolbox and script.extendedinfo are available on the repo.

Thanks again. That brought the option to life, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I'm playing direct from folders, not a library - could that be it?

Not sure, could very well be that it only works on artwork that is referenced in the db.
