Gotham Tvheadend 0.9.7 ARM addon
#1
Hi,

I have a handful of Rockchip devices that only works pretty well with XBMC Gotham ported for Minix by Koying, which was made available for other Rockchip devices by the name of BeyondXBMC by some guy.

The problem is that the TVH PVR addon for Gotham is too old and has lot's of known bugs, and I can only find them ported for linux and windows here:

http://stalin.negge.fi/files/pvr.tvh/gotham/

Could someone compile TVH PVR 0.9.7 for Gotham or point me to an updated version that works with Gotham?

Thanks

I built the Gotham branch on a Raspberry Pi and uploaded it to http://stalin.negge.fi/files/pvr.tvh/got...-armhf.zip. I'm not sure if it works on Android or not though, if not you're on your own.

It doesn't, the file structure and is different. In android for example the extension is something like "libKodi_pvr_tvh.so", while in linux it's something like "Kodi_pvr_tvh.pvr".

Maybe renaming files around can help but I have no clue if it would work, probably not...

If somebody could point me on how to compile from (some) source I would do and make it available.

Thanks

Are you sure there are no newer Kodi builds for your device?

No.. it's one of those R-BOX like this one:

No support for them..

Newest Kodi does work, but the image get all pixelated and a bit laggy when it has too much movement, already tried with both hardware compression on and off.

Those boxes are pretty cheap (around USD30) and do work pretty well with XBMC hacked version (BeyondXBMC), I get a real smooth image with it, but I have the TVH old version problem; so getting those boxes to work well would be my holy grail Smile

Have you tried just using the version of the addon that is included? You don't necessarily need the new addon.

I do indeed, older versions keeps disconnecting every few seconds from TVH 4.0.X servers
