Aeon Madnox for Krypton / Jarvis - (no longer in development)
@ zorg2K & Mike : I have used MediaElch specifically for scraping music. I think he is using these scripts with Media Elch cause I have these Artist.nfo's & Album nfo's. This is what it is right ? Is this basically scraped with mediaelch ? Cause otherwise filling in the nfo by hand for 10,000 albums would take a Loooong time !
Actually yes I have to scrape all artists using Media Elch, I just tested and its brilliant. the only issue is one has to go one artist at a time individually for each file.. or there might be an automated scraping setting. I think I should pop over to Komet's thread for further info . Cheers
Does anyone know if the kodiflix view could be modified so that the horizontal list doesn't move when the mouse pointer reaches the screen edge? I love the view, but it drives me crazy, it's way too unstable when using a mouse. Sad

I am getting a dependencies not met error when trying to install Maddox and this appears in my log:

18:28:11 T:6636 DEBUG: CAddonInstallJob[skin.aeon.madnox]: requires script.globalsearch version 6.0.1 which is not available
18:28:11 T:6636 ERROR: CAddonInstallJob[skin.aeon.madnox]: dependency check failed

When attempting to manually install script.globalsearch version 6.0.1 I get yet another dependencies not met error:

18:30:45 T:1772 DEBUG: CAddonInstallJob[script.globalsearch]: requires xbmc.python version 2.24.0 which is not available
18:30:45 T:1772 ERROR: CAddonInstallJob[script.globalsearch]: dependency check failed

At this point I am in way over my head and do no know what to do next....

EDIT: Never mind...I figured it out.
Argh...my fanart is missing for movies and TV shows (one specific fanart per title). The only option I can get working are the multi, yet specific to title extra fanarts that change each time you scroll back and forth through the movies or TV shows. Simply choosing fanart as a background gives me a blank black screen behind the movies.

just select all of the artists you want to scrape ( select first - hold shift key and select last one ) and then press the fluffy cloud icon on top left - then you get a selection window - rest should be clear Wink

hmmm what did you configure in backround customizer of that view ? you can choose there just YES, No, or extrafanart
- Yes will choose your basic fanart inside your moviefolder - fanart.jpg OR "moviefilename"-fanart.jpg for example "Blade (1998).bluray-fanart.jpg"
- NO means nada=black screen
- Extrafanart will choose the fanart images inside the extrafanart folder inside the Moviefolder and wotate between them ( i think every 5 seconds )

so maybe you have the wrong filenames for your fanart, or you choose maybe NO in backround customizer ( left side menu when you are in a view setting ) - dont think you need a special addon for showing the basic fanart

maybe post some screenshots of your view settings or maybe some more info of your moviefolder would be nice too

tried that already, it does scrape but does not get any information i.e nfo is there but empty . If I do it one artist at a time it works .

I find Music Brainz is the best tool for scraping and import into Kodi, There are still a few thing which require to be manually added to NFO once exported via Kodi.

I would love to have a metadata scraper tool , like Ember for Movies. But with a bit of time and effort I have got everything spot on for my music collection in Kodi.
Zorg try Media Elch ----- it is JUST LIKE EMM but for Music as well. Actually it does Movies, TV shows & Music Videos & music . I am quite set & happy with Ember for everything else but am extremely pleased with MediaElch for music scraping. sure there are a few bugs ( label not being scraped a known bug ) but Komet is very good and is working on all the bugs. Most Importantly ... you have a nfo file that you can easily edit , populate to your hearts content.
BTW how do you scrape within kodi using MusicBrainz? is there an addon / script ---- cdartmanager uses MB ID .
He is talking about Picard the musicbrainz tagger

It the best and easiest tool (for me) it's all I use and my kodi lib is flawless (for my needs)

BTW we are a bit offtopic here :Wink

When you scrape with musicbrainz and import into Kodi with prefer online information checked in music settings screen it pulls the data from the metadata which is added to each audio file.

When you export in Kodi to separate file, the artist and album nfo files which are created have all the MusicBrainz data as per below

<biography>Arrested Development is an American alternative hip hop group, founded by Speech and his ex-best friend Headliner (DJ) as a positive, Afrocentric alternative to the gangsta rap popular in the early 1990s.
The group won two Grammy Awards in 1993 for Best New Artist and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group, and were also named Band of the Year by Rolling Stone magazine. 3 Years, 5 Months & 2 Days in the Life Of... was the number-one album in the Village Voice's 1992 Pazz and Jop Critic's Poll.
A few months later, the group was approached by film director Spike Lee, to compose a song for his upcoming biopic based on the life of Malcolm X. The group then recorded "Revolution", which appeared on the oldies-dominated soundtrack for the film, as well as the second half of its closing credits when the film was released in 1992.
Their 1994 follow-up Zingalamaduni, which did well with some critics, but was panned by others,[who?] sold poorly. After the group broke up due to "creative differences" in 1996, Speech released a solo album; sales were poor in the United States but better in Japan. The group reunited in 2000 and has been touring and releasing records via Speech's Vagabond Productions and Speech Music. While Arrested Development has struggled to regain a following in the United States, they have met consistent success in Japan. Aerle Taree didn't return to Arrested Development because of vocal problems and DJ Headliner refused to rejoin the band due to bad blood over business differences. Today Aerle is a poet and she's converted from Buddihst to Christianity. In 2010 Baba Oje had a stroke.
The female vocalist on "Tennessee", Dionne Farris, released a successful solo album in 1994, Wild Seed-Wild Flower. The album spawned the hit single "I Know".
Baba Oje is the group's spiritual elder. He and Speech met at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee when they were both students. Baba Oje was 57 years old at the time.
In November 2003, the group sued the Fox network over the name of the TV show Arrested Development. The suit is referenced in the Arrested Development episodes "Public Relations", "Motherboy XXX" and "For British Eyes Only".
In June 2005, the group won the first round of NBC's television series contest Hit Me, Baby, One More Time, performing "Tennessee" and covering Los Lonely Boys' "Heaven". They gave the proceeds ($20,000) to UNICEF.
The group's follow-up to their 2004 Among The Trees was Since The Last Time, released internationally (not in the U.S.) on September 18, 2006. Since The Last Time was later released in the United States on October 30, 2007, on Vagabond Record & Tapes, Speech's boutique label.
In March 2007, they toured Australia as part of a triple-bill, along with Simple Minds and INXS.
On January 8, 2011, they performed in the festival first night for the Sydney Festival in Sydney, Australia. The group released their ninth album Strong under Vagabond Records and Tapes, and licensed to the Japanese record label Cutting Edge, on December 9, 2009, and had a top ten hit with the single "The World is Changing" in Japan. In an interview with Songfacts, Speech explained that the track "Greener" takes on the issue of climate change from the perspective of the African American community.
In August 2012, the group released its 10th album Standing At The Crossroads, recorded while touring internationally. The album, given away for free from the group's official website, took a lo-fi approach and was recorded entirely on a Mac laptop. The same month they announced a new tour throughout the United States and Australia to celebrate their 20th anniversary.</biography>

<review>Arrested Development breezed on to the scene in 1992 and made the year their own with this, their super-confident debut. 3 Years, 5 Months and 2 Days In The Life Of... (the exact length of time it took for the group to get a recording contract) was one of those records that arrived fully-formed, making everything that had gone before in the world of hip-hop sound rather passé.

Formed by rappers Speech and Headliner and inspired by Public Enemy, Arrested Development espoused afro-centricity, feminism, love and harmony, and were an antidote to the machismo of Gansgta Rap, then very much on the rise.

3 Years... was rightly lauded at the time; it is resolutely upbeat – none more than on Give A Man A Fish with its chorus, ''give a man a fish he’ll eat for a day, teach him how to fish he’ll eat forever''. The three US Top 10 singles, People Everyday, Mr Wendal and Tennessee seemed to be everywhere. People Everyday, which updated Sly and The Family Stone's Everyday People, showed how they could embrace the past while modernising the message. The tale of a man having to use violence in self defence against a gang is like most of their work, deeply thoughtful with a generous splash of wit (''I had to take the brother out for being rude'').

For a while they were invincible; the album won the group Grammys and a position in all year end charts. Arrested Development couldn't maintain the momentum, and after one further album, they split. Although some of
3 Years... hasn't dated well, overall, it still sounds vibrant, vital and resolutely on-message.

-BBC Music</review>
