OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0)
I've noticed in the recent builds that 720p content is being switched to output in a 720p mode instead of the resolution of the gui. Is this a new feature of VideoPlayer to enable using the (presumably better) upscaling on the TV?

(edit) This is also problem on build #0919.
Yes Kodi is crashing when I open a bookmarked item in build #0920 and #0921.

The second error would suggest a problem copying files to /storage/.config, so maybe a problem with the Storage partition/filesystem.

Hello, I feel the delay in responding, I have no overclock, as the second error, I was actually related to Storage partition.

Cheers
What do you mean by bookmarked items - I've tried adding YouTube videos to Favourites (with and without creating bookmarks), and can't get this to fail. I've tested with and without omxplayer.

An idiots guide with steps to reproduce would be good. Smile

If a debug build is needed I can upload one later today, unless @popcornmix has an idea what is causing this?

It appears randomly. not all bookmarked items cause problem. some of them good, some of them restart kodi.
OK, I'll upload a debug-enabled build.

Debug-enabled #0921x builds uploaded: RPi / RPi2

Edit: @parcel/@Leopold: This bookmark crash definitely starts with #0919, ie. #0918 does not have this problem?

I've tried a handful of addons but the only one which crashes Kodi when run from a bookmark is my Spurs TV video plugin (it's in the official repo). It is a repeatable crash.

#0919 seems to be ok so #0920 was the first build with the problem.

I've not used that addon before. Can you just walk me through what you do to get the crash. Starting with "install Spurs TV plugin from official Kodi repo".

Sure

1. Install Spurs TV plugin from official Kodi repo
2. Run the plugin, add "Latest" to favourites.
3. Go back to the main menu and try to run "Latest" from favourites.
4. Screen should lock up and eventually Kodi will crash and restart.

I made it crash this way about 10 times in a row, testing different builds and settings, but now it's no longer crashing so I guess it's not as repeatable as I thought.

Seems to be running okay for me with "latest" in favourites.
The list comes up wth thumbnails and the videos play.

I've been into and out of favourites many times.

Let me know if you find any settings, or sequence of operations that makes it fail more often.

What was the first build with this issue? Can you get the same failure from a recording?

On 0915 all fine, starting with version 0916 to last build
I've got the adjust display rate setting enabled as well as the sync option with PLL. Starting with 0921 last night, the information popup shows 59.94fps for the content but 60fps for the display rate. Is anyone else seeing that? Checking tvservice -s, it shows 59.94 when watching live or recorded TV and 60 when at the menu, which seems to right.
