Okay I'll need a sample. I got a sample from querty1000 which used to hang on opening but now plays with latest update, but I suspect there is another failure mode.

For me it works in tested cases now. The sample and other ISO-rips are playing fine.
(2015-10-11, 06:49)wesk05 Wrote: As mentioned in this post : http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=...pid2129583 , I am having trouble playing full SBS (3840x1080) and full TAB (1920x2160) 3D files on almost all builds. As can be seen from the picture, video is highly pixelated. These files play properly on the Nexus Player, nVIDIA SATV and other Android boxes.

Can we have some samples for testing?

popcornmix already mentioned that RPi2 will not be able play these files properly. It doesn't process any resolution higher than 1920x1080.

I made a mkv sample with the subtitle problem :

@ popcornmix : could you have a look?

Thanks

Hello,

Did someone succeed to reproduce my subtitle problem? Is this a problem with my LG TV?
The sample last only 20s and we can see subtitlte half-cuted in 3D MVC playback.
Still a lot of 3D isos are crashing. Which videoplayer fo accelaration should be used?

Hi there.

Out of curiosity, what is your GUI resolution / refresh rate ?
I've tried 'Desktop' (which was default, 60Hz I believe), 60.00, and also 59.94 I think. Since reading this and having issues with Kodi UI not coming back in Pi2 with earlier builds, I've always kept "Sync playback to display" disabled. Only "Adjust display refresh rate" enabled. Issue was solved until now with the ISO builds.

Can we work out what is happening at this point.
Can you ssh in at this point? If so what does
Code:
tvservce - s
report?

Does kodi respond to anything? (e.g. do stop or any other keys have a response).

Assuming gui doesn't respond and ssh works, does
Code:
systemctl restart kodi
restart kodi okay? If kodi restarts and is usable it suggests a kodi hang. If kodi doesn't restart it suggests a GPU hang.
It was a one off bug. I'd been watching a few TV episodes OK. then sound stopped at end of playback and never came back.
I'll check the xsp's once I'm home. I know that i do not have advanced settings.xml in. Config. Because I have nothing that I need to add to it.
Should I just leave the file there but empty to remove the error.

I think it might be time for a clean flash soon.
I've had some success with 3D ISO's!!!! Well done gentlemen!!!!!

Same here , thanks @popcornmix, no issues so far
@popcornmix, with build #1011, here's what I get via SSH to RPi after UI blanks out (always after boot-up, 1st video is played/stopped, then 2nd video playback is initiated). Setting Kodi UI to 59.94 or 60.00 makes no difference...

Quote:Does kodi respond to anything? (e.g. do stop or any other keys have a response).
Yes, sometimes there's a blank screen and I hear audio, although breaking up, I can press 'stop' and playback stops... UI remains blank. And, other times, I get a blue screen, meaning my display is receiving no signal.

Quote:restart kodi okay?
Yes, SSH'ing systemctl restart kodi does reboot Kodi and it's usable again.

I have found (with my projector W1070) that 1920*1080 @50, I don't have issues. If the GUI is set to 1920*1080 @ 23.98, once I stop the 3d iso, the projector gets stuck in frame Packing mode (hence the GUI is not right). I know you have a different projector now, but maybe try 50Hz
