Fritsch,

I have a video that seems to have a refresh rate of 29.97 and I just get a bluescreen on my projector.

I tried older versions and the latest and same result so don't mind the debug log of an older version.

I can confirm this gives me a bluescreen:
/usr/lib/kodi/kodi-xrandr --screen 0 --output HDMI1 --mode 0xdf

kodi-xrandr --verbose: http://sprunge.us/bjVf

Seems it's getting resolutions my setup can't support? Also strange the video is 1920x1080 - why is it trying to use 1920x1200 which I assume my projector can't handle anyways

Here is a debug log using the latest build from the 22nd where the audio is pretty off with passthrough. I believe the audio is ahead of the video in this case

Sorry for all the spamming of posts - finally had some time to play in the theater without anyone home.

Here is a debug log of a video that when i start the kodi screen just freezes up and the audio starts playing - no video ever shows up - i just see the last screen in kodi

If I turn off use VC-1 VAAPI we get farther but I end up with a bluescreen just like the above video.

Your projector announces a Mode it does not support. Turn off adjust refreshrate and retry.

I did test that briefly and it seemed to work but the video was choppy as I leave my kodi refresh rate at 23.97 because of the random issues I have switching resolution rates. I suppose this needs to be played at 60hz.

Seems like it's picking the first one that tmatces the refresh rate vs matching the resolution or maybe I am completely wrong

What I don't understand is why would that video choose 1920x1200 - any way for me to cleanup what the projector is supplying? Do I need to lock in an xorg or some other option?

Yes - you cannot play 29.97i at 23hz. Sorry - I cannot support all the crappy hardware out there ... ask the vendor of the projector, why they announce 59.94 hz when they cannot do it.
