Hello everybody,

I have an old receiver that does not support HDMI.
My TV is connected with a digital coax cable to the receiver. I am using a FireTV Stick with a Plex Server on Windows and the corresponding Plex Addon for Kodi.

So here is my problem:

It seems that I am only able to get working Dolby Digital 5.1 sound from the FireStick to my TV, then to my receiver.
DTS will not get through.

However, the PlexApp for FireTV is able to transcode DTS to DD. This way I am able to get 5.1 sound on all my movies, regardles if they are DD or DTS.

I would love for this to be able in KODI but I don't know if and how I could enable this.


For comparison, these are the relevant settings in the FireTV PlexApp that lead to always receiving 5.1 sound:

"Your device is able to receive AC3 : YES"
"Your device is able to receive DTS: NO"
"Your device is able to receive DD+: NO"
