I have the same issue.

I am on Kodi 15.2 on Ubuntu. I watched a episode, stopped it, and after that the "play" button dissapeared from every episodes in "TV Shows". Movie Section is fine.
I red the thread and think it is important that you know I use German language.

Can you help me?

Sorry, I'm not sure why the old version keeps 'updating' and replacing 4.2 - I'm looking into this.

At least my skin version updated to 4.09.99 automatically. I also use german as interface language and the play button appears in the info screen.
The only thing I noticed a few days ago is that for some reason the date and weather info on the bottom right disabled itself. Must be in correlation with the skin update. After reenabling everything works as expected.
