I'm just curious....I have an old LG Optimus G with 4 cores that is sitting there collecting dust and seeing how the new Plex and Emby backends have a distributed architecture, I was thinking maybe I could leave the Windows 7 machine running with serverWMC and then use the cell phone as a sort of MCEbuddy equivalent.

Kodi currently doesn't do any transcoding.

I understand they don't but do you know of any apps that would do what I'm suggesting....basically replacing MCEbuddy so you don't add CPU load to the WMC machine.
