After upgrading from Ubuntu 12.04 to 14.04 i have problem with playback 1080p only videos.

Before upgrade Ubuntu Kodi and video playback was working without any problem.

I upgrade to Kodi 15 but problem is the same.

At 1080p playback cpu usage starts normal and going up to 100% percent.

I'm running Kodi as standalone.

My system specs :

Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS
Kodi 15 Git
1920x1080@60Hz Full screen

AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+
Ati X800 GTO
3GB RAM

You don't have any gpu acceleration - so we use all of your two cores for decoding ... not sure what you expect.

The strange is that with same configuration at Ubuntu 12.04 playback 1080p videos was super.

The problem start instant after upgrade to 14.04

So this is the reason I post it.

Most likely you used proprietary drivers on 12.04 - so rendering was faster ... Sadly AMD dropped support for your ancient hardware.
