I've been playing around with <buffermode> & <cachemembuffersize> to get my VPN SMB streaming setup running perfect so i can watch my videos when i am away.
For the most part i have had buffermode set to 1 (always buffer) and cachemembuffersize to the amount of available ram (subtract a bit) on my player box. Works very well but does have its hiccups.
Just to test i set buffermode to 3 (no buffer) and videos still play, and buffer? But on the video diagnostic screen the buffer value does not populate.
Just wondering what the difference is between this other buffer system and i'm assuming it does not have controllable values like cachemembuffersize, does anyone know what the default is?
