Platform is Fire TV. Protocol is Socks5. Proxy settings in Kodi's advanced network config area have no effect on traffic going through Kodi, and from searching around these forums and online they haven't for a very long time. I've heard that maybe HTTP proxy settings work, but am unable to test at the moment. Any suggestions, advice or information on this issue?

i push this old thread up. I have same issue with Kodi 18.6 on FireTV 4K (same without 4K), no proxy setting in Kodi works, neither http nor socks5. Can someone help me to use Kodi with proxy?
